Today was (again) a day of sharing!
The ladies went to the Women's Conference and spoke while the men went to the Men's Breakfast.
At the Women's Conference, we gave each lady a scarf and notebook with pen, mom opened up the conference and turned it over to Julie Wright who talked about being Christ like. Jane Schooler talked about Simplicity in our lives. I had the opportunity to share with the ladies the necessity to empty ourselves of us and allow God to fill us up with Him using the first four beatitudes as my ground work. Jackie followed with the Proverbs 31 woman. After the ladies shared some of their testimonies and how the conference spoke to them and also had some time to be ministered to they proceed to lunch which I understand was WONDERFUL plav (a traditional Kyrgy dish). I was blessed to have had this opportunity to share.
The afternoon took the men to Iskra (Home for Disabled Men) and the ladies to the local bazaar for a quick look around. Mom fixed us a great soup for dinner and we headed back out to Iskra to minister to the men. We served ice cream, showed them a Max Lucado cartoon (in Russian), and just loved on them!! They bless me each time I see them! As you can see from the pictures they LOVE to have their pictures taken!
Tomorrow is church at the Russian Church, Teen Gathering, Baby Orphanage, and a little time to relax before the busy week begins. I am sad that we are getting close to leave . . . I'm not ready . . .
Blessings!
