Today was a day of reconnecting with old friends and making some new! But before I get ahead of myself we had to prep for the day.
We started off at 8 a.m. by going with part of the team to the bazaar to pick up some meat. The first shop said no pictures . . . well, that doesn't go over well with this team so no problem there are other butchers around the corner so off we went. Keep in mind, we were buying quiet a lot of meat! The next place was great and VERY friendly. He knew a few English words and was excited to use them! He also wanted copies of the pictures. We promised to be back with them later! Love it! I'm not sure how much meat we purchased but it was plenty for the men at Iskra and the seniors at Kamin. It's been a long and very bad winter. The meat is greatly needed as they don't get much.
From there we were off around the corner to the garden area. What fun that was. People here like their pictures taken and they like seeing them. The butcher and the garden area were no different. At the garden area we picked up seeds (peas, cucumbers, beets, radishes, carrots, etc) and LOTS of strawberry pants for the garden at Dayspring.
We went back to the apartment to meet up with the whole team and off for our visits . . . see the next blog for what the rest of the day had in store for us!
Blessings!
