Dear Friends & Family,
As many of you know, we (Randy & Kim) are heading back
to Kyrgyzstan for our second missions trip.
We leave April 6th and return on the 20th.
Last year’s trip was amazing and we can’t wait to return! During our time there last year we were introduced to some of the different programs, people, and organizations that work with LAMb. We spoke at a women’s conference, a men’s conference, couple’s fellowship. We participated in the ‘swim’ with the disabled men, time in the mountains with the same group of men experiencing with them something they have never done, shared dinner with abandoned/rescued seniors and even got to dance with them, held abandoned children at the baby hospital. We gave away stuffed animals to the children being treated at the baby hospital, helped open the Dayspring Family Life Resource Center (alternative to an orphanage), and delivered food to a family that LAMb has helped rescue and restore.

It was a life changing trip in so many ways. We once again realized that this world is
MUCH bigger than the community we live in.
In so many ways we are all the same; same dreams, goals, struggles,
etc. But in places like Kyrgyzstan it’s
just a bit more difficult; unstable government, limited resources available to
families, the sick, and to the residents in general and a cold climate in the
winter where coal and food can become scarce and expensive.
What do we hope to accomplish this year? We hope to spend time with the seniors,
cooking for them, and getting to know them better – reminding them that they
are special and loved. Spend time with
the men in the disabled men’s home; fellowshipping with them and enjoying
treats and entertainment (they love to entertain!). We hope to spend time with the five little
girls that are now in Dayspring and get to spoil them. We hope to spend time in the baby orphanage/hospital
and love on the abandoned babies. There
is a new orphanage that is reaching out for training for their staff, we hope
to go and visit them and see how they need help to minister to the children
they take in. And finally, we hope to
stop for the one in front of us that we see that may be hurting and need a
little love and to see that God does love them through our actions.
We are going to just go and show up and see what God has in
store for us!
A few weeks ago we packed our humanitarian two bags. They are FULL! Praise God!
We have 100 stethoscopes, 10 dolls with custom clothes for the girls at
Dayspring, tons of beanie babies and Webkinz, and lots of other medical
supplies. We have had people ask how
they can help. We need help with funds
to take over with us. The funds will be
used to feed the seniors, take treats to the men’s home, provide food to a
family in need, special ways we can spoil the girls at Dayspring. We will help provide and fill a gap in an
orphanage, home, anywhere if needed. We
just want to bless while we are there.
If you feel led to help us, we will take pictures and show
you how your donations are being used.
None of these funds will go to our travel expenses. Those funds have already been covered. It is to allow us to bless others in Central Asia on your behalf.
To give is easy!
Please visit LAMb International’s blog (http://lambinternational.blogspot.com/). Take time to read about what LAMb is doing in
Kyrgyzstan and what we will have the opportunity to do. On the right side of their page is a button
for US Donations (PayPal). In the notes
section and designate it for our trip.
We will have the funds waiting for us in Kyrgyzstan. If you have any special requests for how the
monies are used also note it there or let us know personally. All donations are also tax deductible through LAMb International.
To follow our adventures and to read about our trip last
year visit our blog (http://kag-travel.blogspot.com/). We will keep it updated with our adventures
from the time we leave to the time we return and beyond.
Finally, and most importantly, please keep us and the whole
LAMb team in prayer. While we are there
for only two weeks, the other team members are there for a few months and some
even longer. Please pray for God’s
covering and blessing in the work that they are and will be doing! They all and we all LOVE doing Kingdom work!
Blessings,
Randy & Kim
